Footprint Report, Evidence Pack & Annual Reports

CRC Footprint Report
The CRC Footprint Report is a legal requirement for all participants (not information disclosures) in the CRC to identify and report all energy supplies and emissions (excluding some areas such as domestic and transport use) throughout the entire organisation from the 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2011. The report must be compiled and submitted by the end of July 2011.
What are the benefits of having an energyTEAM footprint report and evidence pack?

      -  30 years experience in energy consultancy.
      -  Experience in CCA reporting.
      -  Developing a CRC Database.
      -  Complete compliance with CRC legislation.
      -  Prevention of large fines.
      -  Organisation of energy information.
      -  Calculation of carbon allowance costs.
      -  Definition of future energy consumption,
         emissions and related costs.
      -  Identification of opportunities to benchmark
and reduce energy consumption and costs.
      -  Up-to-date knowledge on the legislation and

Developing a CRC Database

A single CRC participant will often include several organisations and external responsibilities, each with many sites that use various types of fuel, and each of these fuels can often have more than one meter or fuel measuring point.

The result can often be a complex structure of hundreds or thousands of records. The CRC auditing process will impose heavy fines on any organisation that fails to properly account for its CO2 emissions.

CRC Evidence Packs

The CRC Evidence Pack includes the collection of records that each CRC participant must keep to demonstrate to the administrators that they have complied with the CRC rules. It will be used during the audit process to substantiate claims made about organisational structure, energy supplies, emissions and reductions in emissions and special events.

The evidence pack will need to include data to support Early Action Metrics and exemptions from the CRC, as well as:

      -  Structural records
      -  Data records
      -  Special event records
      -  Early Action Metric data
      -  Growth Metric data
      -  Additional records

CRC Annual Reports

Shortly after the first year of the scheme, participants will be required to produce and submit a Footprint report, followed by Annual Reports each year thereafter.

In preparing these reports, energyTEAM will be involved in the following activities:

Data Management
Identification of Core Energy
Identification of Non-Core Energy
Energy Exemptions
Total Consumption
Significant Group Undertakings
Estimation Techniques
Electricity Generation
Manage Growth Metric Calculation
Manage Early Action Growth Metric Calculation
Manage Absoloute Metric Calculation
Production of Reports
Purchasing of Allowances
Deadlines
